BSA/AML Compliance Analyst: I (Junior)-

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated BSA/AML Compliance Analyst I to join our team. This role focuses on transactional analysis, compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, and ensuring adherence to U.S. banking laws, particularly within a private banking context.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze transactional data and review public search results to address transaction monitoring alerts.
• Use analytical skills to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of monitoring processes.
• Document alert dispositions with clear and concise comments.
• Conduct education, training, and awareness activities related to transaction monitoring.
• Build and maintain relationships across business units and organizational groups.
• Provide recommendations to mitigate identified risk scenarios.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

• 2-3 years of experience in AML transaction monitoring within a private banking environment.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish (required).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. regulations, including the US PATRIOT Act, BSA/AML, KYC, OFAC, and FinCEN.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong research, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and effectively manage priorities in a high-pressure environment.
• Collaborative mindset with a self-starter attitude.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of AML/OFAC-related software, particularly ASSIST.
• Interest or experience in cryptocurrencies and Blockchain technology.
• ACAMS or FIBA certification (preferred).
