Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Newton, Massachusetts. This role requires you to manage a variety of accounting tasks, with a primary focus on managing and processing accounts payable, and additional responsibilities in payroll and expense administration.
This position is based onsite and presents a contract to permanent employment opportunity.
This position is fully on site on a temporary engagement with the potential to lead to a permanent offer.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of accounts payable including vendor management, invoicing, and check runs
- Assist with payroll processing, including both salaried and hourly employees
- Manage expense administration and ensure all expenses are accounted for and processed correctly
- Contribute to month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain business unit partnerships and manage vendor relationships
- Oversee cash management and deposit checks as needed
- Utilize accounting software systems to manage and process all accounting functions
- Ensure all account coding is accurate and up to date
- Assist with auditing processes as necessary
- Employ your skills in accrival accounting to maintain accurate financial records.
- Proficiency in Account Coding is a must for the role of Accounts Payable Specialist.
- The candidate should have extensive experience with Accounting Software Systems.
- An in-depth understanding of Accounting Functions is required.
- Mastery of Accounts Payable (AP) is a significant requirement for this role.
- Familiarity with Accrual Accounting is necessary.
- Auditing skills are essential for this position.
- The candidate should have experience in handling Payroll.
- Expertise in Cash Management is a crucial requirement for this job.
