Compliance Specialist - Indianapolis

Overview:

In this role, you will play a critical role for the company and will work alongside other professionals within the team and other departments. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of new facility setups, including local and federal governmental compliance and licensing.

Filing and maintenance of current and new business filings specific to Corporate, State, County, City, DBA/Tradenames, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee new facility startups: coordinate with local agencies for zoning, licensing, and occupancy; ensure brand guidelines are followed; establish utilities and signage.
  • Assist in facility shutdowns as needed.
  • Manage Company contract database, including staff training.
  • Compile reports for management and compliance.
  • Handle new and existing Business Regulatory Compliance: renew dealer licenses, filings with state, county, city, and tribal agencies, and other governmental requirements.
  • Manage Industry Regulatory Compliance: renew DMV/MVD licenses, permits for air quality, hazardous materials, and equipment/machinery.
  • Maintain lease contracts: track renewal dates, provide notice of expirations.
  • Handle insurance and bond certificates.
  • Document compliance activities.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Degree preferred
  • Pervious paralegal experience preferred
  • Previous accounting experience preferred
  • Knowledge of both New and Renewed Business processes and compliance requirements preferred
  • Experience with processing and filing regulatory reports
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing and processing detailed information in a technical report/form
  • Experience processing of Insurance Certificates and Bonds preferred
  • Computer skill are a must
  • Must be able to think analytically
  • Must have effective communication skills
  • Must be well organized and be able to prioritize and meet deadlines as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed in an office environment.
  • Will be required to stand, sit, and move throughout office as needed.
  • May be required to use stairway multiple times during the day as necessary.

Pay Range: $25.00 to $26.00 per hour
