Employer Partnerships Manager, IE NYC Career Hub

This position will be based in New York City, with frequent interaction with local, national, and international partners expected.
The Employer Partnerships Manager is a pivotal position at the IE NYC Career Hub, designed to establish and grow strategic relationships between IE University, IENYC, and leading corporations across North America with the aim to develop and strengthen partnerships that enhance career opportunities for our students and alumni, while also increasing IE’s visibility and positioning across North American markets.A key focus will be on cultivating new corporate relationships that could lead to high-impact collaborations, including visits to the IE Tower in Madrid.
This role is entrepreneurial in nature, requiring a candidate who is excited by the challenge of building something new and capable of exploring innovative approaches to partnership building, program development, and event management. This is a high-impact position for someone who is ready to create, not just manage, and is passionate about turning the IENYC Career Hub into a centerpiece for attracting top employer partners to IE and IENYC.This position also combines employer relations and alumni engagement, leveraging IE’s strong alumni network to support career development initiatives.
This position reports to the Head of T&C Employer Partnerships at IE University and will work closely with the leadership team at IENYC to ensure the strategic alignment of career services with institutional objectives.

Responsibilities:
Your role as Employer Partnerships Manager will involve:
- Strategic Partnership Development:
- Identify, develop, and scale partnerships with top employers in sectors such as finance, technology, and other key industries.
- Leverage existing IE relationships and pioneer new opportunities, negotiating agreements that enhance career opportunities for students and meet corporate partners' needs.
- Act as the primary representative of IE/IENYC, engaging with business leaders, industry associations, and corporate partners to foster relationships that benefit both institutions.
- Run the annual / semi-annual Employer Partnerships Forum for North America.
- Career Strategy & Leadership:
- Build and lead the strategic management of the IENYC Career Hub, ensuring it scales rapidly meets its objectives and integrates seamlessly with IE and IENYC’s broader institutional strategies.
- Collaborate with IENYC academic leadership and IE University to align career services with academic offerings, responding to market demands and shaping student career development.
- Actively participate in innovative strategic planning for IENYC, ensuring career services play a key role in broader institutional plans.
- Oversee the Junior Career Services Professional, ensuring their work on career programming, student support, and regulatory compliance aligns with the overall career hub strategy.
- Alumni Engagement & Employer Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Global Alumni team (IEU Alumni & Careers Services in North America) to leverage the IEU alumni network for employer partnerships and career development programs.
- Develop programs that connect IENYC students with alumni from IENYC and/or IEU for mentoring, networking, and employment opportunities.
- Event and Workshop Management:
- Oversee the planning and execution of networking events, career fairs, and professional development workshops that increase the visibility of the IENYC Career Hub and provide students with essential industry exposure.
- Facilitate the use of the IENYC career platform by employer partners for job postings and talent recruitment.
- - Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure that all career service activities comply with relevant legal, institutional, and ethical standards, including those required by regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate on the preparation of regulatory reports, contributing data on career outcomes and employment metrics.
- Track, analyze, and report the performance of partnership initiatives, ensuring that KPIs related to employment outcomes, compliance, and student engagement are met.
- Market Research & Industry Trends:
- Conduct research into industry trends and labor market needs, translating insights into actionable strategies to keep IENYC responsive to changes in the job market.
- Continuously refine career services programs to meet the evolving needs of employers and students, ensuring relevance in a dynamic economic landscape.
Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- A Master’s degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in business development, corporate relations, or career services, ideally within higher education or a similar context.
- Proven experience developing strategic partnerships and managing external relationships with corporate partners and employers.
- Strong understanding of the North American labor market, particularly in sectors aligned with IE and IENYC’s academic offerings.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders.
- Familiarity with visa processes and regulatory requirements related to international students is a plus.
Desired:
- Strong strategic and tactical planning abilities, with a demonstrated ability to design and implement career services programs that meet both institutional and student needs.
- A well-established network of industry contacts in sectors relevant to IENYC graduates, such as finance, technology, and others.
- Experience with reporting and compliance with regulatory bodies.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with prior experience in building new initiatives or programs.
- Prior affiliation with IE University or an in-depth understanding of its mission, values, and academic programs is highly desirable.
The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $80,000 to $100,000 USD per year. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
