Looking for a proven technical leader with experience in cybersecurity products looking for an exciting new challenge. You have led the development of security software in embedded applications (e.g. network equipment, hardware security modules) acting as Technical Lead, Principal Investigator, or in a similar capacity.You enjoy the challenge of designing software and leading development teams while still being a hands-on developer pulling everything together. Required Skills- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- 10+ years’ experience in software product development
- Experience in a hands-on, technical leadership role (e.g. Principal investigator, Technical Director, Chief Engineer, Security Architect) on cybersecurity related R&D or product development projects
- Expert-level knowledge of computer and network security principles such as cryptography and intrusion prevention
- Experience in software product development using secure software development methods
- Current expert level C/C++ programming skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment as part of a small team and execute complex development tasks with limited supervision
- Good written and verbal communications skills adequate to prepare software documentation, participate in technical proposal development and work with external customers
- Established relationships/past performance with Government laboratories (e.g. Air Force Research Laboratory, Army CERDEC, Office of Naval Research) who can generate winning R&D proposals and lead the efforts when awarded. The desired skills are focused in this area.
- MS/Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- Strong technical relationships with DoD related laboratories (e.g. Air Force Research Laboratory, Office of Naval Research, Army CERDEC)
- Experience in leading R&D proposal development
- Active, current, or recently inactive DoD security clearance
- Security+, CISSP, or similar security certifications
