Overview:

LMI is seeking a Financial Operations SME to support financial operations in helping to modernize, streamline and enhance the cloud delivery of our US Army Client. The Financial Operations SME will be responsible for managing the financial operations associated with cloud services, optimizing cost-efficiency while tracking cloud consumption and advising on budgeting to prevent cost overruns.

This role ensures that resource allocation aligns with mission priorities and Army financial regulations. This role will serve a critical function to ensure that the solutions our team identifies and deploys not only meet mission needs but do so as cost effectively as possible.

Note: This position is remote but will require travel to the Fort Belvoir and Tysons Corner Area

Responsibilities:

  • Manage program planning and budget execution associated with cloud services, optimizing cost-efficiency while tracking cloud consumption and advising on budgeting to prevent cost overruns.
  • Ensure resource allocation aligns with mission priorities and Army financial regulations.
  • Develop and maintain financial reports, budget plans, and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with Army stakeholders to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Army financial regulations and guidelines.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide financial expertise and support to cross-functional teams.
  • Stay abreast of emerging financial trends and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is highly desirable.
  • At least 10 years of experience in financial operations, including experience with cloud services.
  • Expertise in Army financial regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience working with Army stakeholders and contractors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with financial management software, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting requirements, such as GAAP, FASB, and SEC regulations.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Active Secret clearance required
