Robert Half - Patient Care Coordinator

We are offering a role for a Patient Care Coordinator based in Port Orange, Florida, United States. This role is within the medical industry and involves coordinating patient care activities, processing payments, and verifying insurance. This position provides an opportunity for short term contract employment.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all aspects of patient care including scheduling appointments and follow up
• Verify patient insurance details and process payments accordingly
• Utilize various software tools for tasks such as scheduling and record keeping
• Maintain clear and accurate patient records, ensuring all data is up to date
• Handle inbound calls, responding to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Process and manage authorizations for patient treatments
• Perform billing functions, ensuring all charges are accurate and accounted for
• Prepare and present charts and graphs as needed to track patient progress
• Utilize CRM systems to manage patient interactions and data
• Ensure all actions adhere to pertinent healthcare regulations and standards. • Must be proficient in Allscripts, Banner Ads, Cerner Technologies, CRM, and Dentrix Dental Software
• Ability to handle Answering Inbound Calls effectively and professionally
• Experience with Authorizations, Benefit Functions, and Billing Functions is required
• Proficiency in creating Charts and Graphs to visually represent data
• Experience in a patient care coordinator role or similar position is desirable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Knowledge of medical terminologies and procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must possess strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all work is essential
• Must demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and also work independently when required
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is necessary
• Knowledge and understanding of healthcare regulations and laws is desirable
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
