We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Controller in Albany, New York.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and managing accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Utilizing accounting software systems and Crystal Reports for efficient data management
• Conducting regular audits, both financial and information systems, to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Managing government audits and handling federal government grants
• Performing controllership duties and navigating the budget processes
• Working in an environment that requires adaptability due to antiquated systems and processes
• Collaborating with other team members, providing necessary support and coordination
• Stepping into a challenging situation and taking necessary measures for improvement.
• Proven experience in a Controller role for a minimum of 7 years
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with Crystal Reports
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Extensive experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Skilled in Auditing processes and protocols
• Knowledge of Budget Processes
• Experience in Audit - Financial field
• Proficiency in Audit - Information Systems
• Familiarity with Government Audits
• Experience working with the Federal Government
• Knowledge of Government Grants
• Significant experience in Controllership roles
