Technical Program Manager, US FED National Security & Defense - Amazon

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to drive rapid business execution across the Worldwide Public Sector National Security and Defense Business Operations team. They will bring a unique balance of strategic thinking, cross-group collaboration, planning discipline, and communication skills.

The successful candidate will be able to manage complex programs across a matrixed environment, with a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business. This role works directly with many cross-functional internal teams and the ideal candidate will foster strong partnerships and collaboration to deliver business-critical solutions.

This is a hands-on position - the ideal candidate must be willing to "roll up their sleeves" and get things done.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and be eligible to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Key job responsibilities
  • Own project planning, metrics development, and reporting to drive successful and on-time delivery of initiatives across multiple domains, such as access control, vulnerability management, master data architecture management, project intake, and request prioritization
  • Manage and resolve technical issues related to sales tooling, including CRM security, user onboarding & training, and disruptions in data integration. Partner with technical teams to resolve issues, and develop and implement processes across teams
  • Develop technical architecture documentation and training content to support understanding of integration points with other teams/systems
  • Partner with sales, operations, technology enablement, engineering, security and other internal AWS teams to define business requirements for sales applications and reporting products, and influence roadmap priorities and milestones

About the team

The AWS Worldwide Public Sector National Security and Defense Business Operations team drives strategic program usage, benefits, and sales execution for AWS Sellers working in the National Security and Defense Markets, accelerating revenue growth, profitability, and transformation with Public Sector end customers.
We pride ourselves on thinking big, delivering exceptional results for our customers, and working across AWS as #OneTeam.- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • 3+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • 2+ years of experience using business intelligence tools to develop data and dashboards (e.g., Quicksight, Tableau, Power BI, QlikView)
  • Ability to write and debug SQL queries
  • Experience in creating and presenting executive-level analyses and narratives to drive decision-making
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working within a high-growth, fast-paced technology company
  • Experience within the US DoD and/or NatSec customer environments

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
