Construction Superintendent - Midwest ENR Top 100 GC

My client is one of the Midwest's most respected and awarded General Contractors. They are currently making a strategic hire to build out their Madison office. Operating in a diverse range of non-residential construction sectors, they are known for the first class service they provide to clients, while making it a priority to provide employees a fulfilling experience.

• Manage all day-to-day field activities.
• Review blueprints, customer needs and contractor submissions in order to execute appropriate bids.
• Lead the team with appropriate construction project planning and developing site logistics.
• Maintain strong relationships with municipalities for potential future business.
• Schedule on-site inspections as needed along with the jobs site.
• Review all bids for work, as well as supervising the inspection of work.
• Ensure all proper signage is posted on the construction job site, and all safety requirements.
• Work closely with job investors and maintain professional attitude.
• Coordinate and supervise all construction activities.
• Keep daily and weekly construction work logs.
• Ensure good time management and to have timely completion of projects.
• Monitor job subcontractors to ensure safety guidelines are met.

• 5+ years of experience as a superintendent in commercial construction.
• OSHA certified.
• Experience leading and scheduling integrated teams.
• Multi-family, ground-up or TI required.
• Proficiency in Procore.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• True leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred (preferably in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or one similar.
• Proficient in reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other construction softwares
• New construction and ground-up experience.
• True leadership experience managing teams.
• 1 year + of experience in lab, k-12, education and scientific work
