Senior Accountant

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant within the commercial real estate industry based in Malibu, California. The role involves handling a variety of accounting tasks, including processing journal entries, preparing financial statements, and managing complex accounting projects.

• Accurately processing both standard and non-standard journal entries.
• Conducting variance analyses and ensuring fixed asset schedules are maintained and reconciled.
• Preparing comprehensive financial statements.
• Supporting the close process at both month-end and year-end.
• Coordinating and managing complex accounting projects in collaboration with the tax team and other departments.
• Monitoring accounts regularly for possible fraudulent activities and taking necessary actions.
• Managing cashflows and budgets effectively.
• Adhering to organizational systems, training, policies, and legal mandates.
• Completing special projects as assigned.
• Performing other duties as delegated by management.
• Utilizing skills in Yardi, Yardi Enterprise, Yardi Property Management, and Yardi Software. • Possession of a Bachelors / Honours Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the commercial real estate sector
• Proficient in using Yardi software, including Yardi Enterprise and Yardi Property Management
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, manage large amounts of data, and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
