Youth Care Provider - LB
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Respite Care Provider to assist a youth individual with cerebral palsy. The role involves providing personal care, assisting with feeding via a feeding tube, and performing transfers using a Hoyer lift.
The position is based in the clients home, where you will help support the family by ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of the child. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with physical disabilities and be comfortable with both routine and emergency care situations.

Hours/Desired Schedule-20 Hours per Week
Pay: $17.66 per hour
AND2 overnights a month
Pay: $256.00 per overnight
Key Responsibilities: Provide personal care assistance, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Assist with feeding through a feeding tube as per the clients care plan.Perform transfers using a Hoyer lift to ensure safe and comfortable movement.
Monitor the clients physical and emotional well-being throughout each shift.
Assist with mobility and positioning to prevent pressure sores and maintain comfort.
Provide companionship and engage in light activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
Maintain clear, accurate records of care provided, including any changes in condition or concerns.
Assist with household tasks related to the clients care, such as meal preparation and light cleaning in their immediate environment.
Administer medications as directed by the family and care plan, ensuring proper timing and dosage.
Work collaboratively with the family and other caregivers to ensure a consistent and high-quality care experience.
Provide overnight care as needed, ensuring the client is comfortable and safe throughout the night.
Qualifications: Experience working with individuals with cerebral palsy or other physical disabilities is strongly preferred.
Comfortable with personal care, feeding tubes, and Hoyer lift transfers.First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to follow detailed care plans and procedures.
Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a strong commitment to providing quality care.
Excellent communication skills, especially in reporting any concerns or changes in the clients condition.
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
Flexible availability, including the ability to work overnight shifts and occasional weekend hours.
Must pass background checks as required by law.
Physical Requirements: Ability to assist with transfers and personal care tasks, including the use of a Hoyer lift.
Ability to perform light physical tasks, such as helping the client into comfortable positions and supporting mobility.Ability to remain alert during overnight shifts.
