Position Overview:
Job Title: In-Home Behavior TherapistLocation: Various locations in Massachusetts (Acton, Ashland, Berlin, Bolton, Boxborough, Boylston, Clinton, Framingham, Grafton, Holden, Hopkinton, Hudson, Littleton, Marlborough, Maynard, Milford, Northborough, Shrewsbury, Westborough, Worcester)
Pay: $25-30 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Afternoon/Evening hours (varies by location, client needs, and your availability)
Job Summary:
Join our compassionate team as an In-Home Behavior Therapist, where you’ll work with children and young adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals eager to make a difference in the lives of our clients.You’ll receive training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) under the supervision of Board Certified and Licensed Behavior Analysts, focusing on helping clients achieve their individualized treatment goals at home and in the community.
Main Responsibilities:
- Client Supervision: Ensure the safety and supervision of assigned clients at all times.
- Instruction: Provide one-on-one instruction following the program design.
- Data Recording: Accurately record data using Rethink.
- Progress Reporting: Assist with the preparation of bi-annual or quarterly progress reports.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with all members of the treatment team.
- Ethics & Confidentiality: Maintain high standards of ethics and confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA and FERPA guidelines.
- Training: Complete and pass all required training, including CALM or Safety Care.
- Behavior Management: Implement behavior management procedures according to client-specific guidelines and behavior intervention plans.
- Family Support: Provide parent/family training and feedback.
- Session Management: Record daily data and complete end-of-session responsibilities promptly.
- Generalization: Conduct sessions in various environments as prescribed (e.g., home, community outings).
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Behavior Analysis, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Prior experience working with children with autism and related disabilities (preferred).
- Knowledge: Understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to work independently, and proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Dropbox).
- Attributes: Caring, compassionate, hardworking, and punctual.
- Physical Ability: Capable of performing physical tasks such as running, squatting, lifting, prompting, and physical management.
- Licensing & Transportation: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and access to a computer/device with internet.
- Background Check: Must pass CORI and SORI checks.
