Physician Assistant Orthopedic Surgery

We are looking for an experienced Physician Assistant passionate about working in a surgical setting. You would need to be comfortable knowing the position starts off working only in surgery. Our ideal candidate should have personality! You will be working alongside 19 different surgeons and a group of Certified Surgical First Assists and Physician Assistants.
Our client is only considering those who already live in Oregon and willing to relocate within the state if not close by.
Reason open: They have a great need to add another PA to their team.
Salary: Based on years of experience. Starts at $90K and goes up into the low $100K range. The client does offer opportunities for you to earn extra income on top of your salary should you choose to work additional hours.

This facility does around 4500 surgeries per year, averaging about 18 per day.
Requirements: We can only consider EXPERIENCED Physician Assistants (preferably at least 3 years). Following are the preferences our client has shared with us. Salary truly depends on the years of experience you have:
- An experienced orthopedic PA with total joint replacement experience.
- An experienced orthopedic PA with surgical assisting experience.
Our client little to no turnover... they want someone who is wanting to stay a long time.
Work setting/ what to expect: The hours vary. Early mornings could be expected because this position does rounds at the hospitals. Some days end earlier than others, as the schedule depends on which cases you would be assisting with. If hired, you would not start off in the clinic setting, but rather surgery.You would start off in surgery where you would get to know the physicians and become familiar with the surgeries they do. After that anywhere from 6 months to a year typically, the client will find a place for you in clinic. The number of patients varies based on which physician(s) you would be working with and the day.
Benefits: Our client offers medical, dental, life, 401(k) (Match up to 3% of salary and 7% profit sharing) $2500 annually to spend on meetings/travel, paid CME time (no set amount), paid time off at the rate of (link removed) for every hour worked, and 7 paid holidays per year in addition to the accrued time off.
