About the Role
Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a Process Engineer Manufacturing to develop and optimize manufacturing processes that align with production requirements and cost targets. This role focuses on operations support, process efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Process Development & Optimization
Troubleshoot fixturing, clamping, programming, and tooling issues to maintain efficient operations.Design fixtures and mistake-proofing methods to enhance yields and reduce scrap.
Conduct time studies to optimize workloads and define operator standard work.
Utilize SPC charts and process capability methods to improve first-time yields.
Develop and implement process plans for new products (NPI), including tooling procurement, routings, and BOMs.
Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
Use Power BI and other data analysis tools to identify performance gaps and drive process improvements.Apply APQP tools to reduce scrap, defects, and process risks.
Participate in cost-saving initiatives and support cost estimation for NPI and repeat production jobs.
Engage in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve efficiency and quality.
Technical Support & Collaboration
Act as a technical liaison with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing plants to resolve process and specification concerns.Provide technical support to shop floor personnel, addressing manufacturing issues.
Research and analyze equipment procurement needs, ensuring cost justification.
Assist in training and development of employees in process improvement methodologies.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure adherence to aerospace specifications and industry standards.Maintain compliance with EHS programs and ITAR regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Experience in machining, aerospace, or industrial gas turbine operations.Knowledge of aerospace specifications and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD/CAM software, and statistical process analysis tools.
Training and experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
