Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Product Development: Manage the entire lifecycle of new products from design through production, ensuring successful transition to manufacturing.
  • Collaborate and Innovate: Partner with customers, engineering, quality, and production teams to develop products that meet specifications and deadlines.
  • Provide Technical Expertise: Offer guidance to manufacturing teams to resolve issues and support customers, including on-site assistance as needed.
  • Coordinate Schedules: Align product development timelines with customers, supply chain, and operations to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review Contracts: Contribute to the contract review team for new product development initiatives driven by customer and commercial needs.
  • Update Documentation: Ensure design documents and plant modifications adhere to approved procedures and requirements.
  • Define Control Plans: Develop and implement control plans for new product introductions, working with the Quality Department on test plans.
  • Evaluate Vendors and Equipment: Conduct technical assessments of vendors and equipment to support the adoption of new processes and technologies.

The Successful Applicant

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a technical role within a Manufacturing or Development environment, and at least 1 year in Project Management.
  • Skills: Demonstrated initiative, strong organizational and decision-making abilities, with a high degree of customer orientation.
  • Technical Expertise: Minimum of 1 year of experience in CNC Machining, Assembly, Injection Molding, or Compression Molding Manufacturing.
  • Principles Knowledge: Familiarity with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) or Lean Manufacturing principles, including Kaizen, 5S, and Pilot Projects.
  • Industry Experience: At least 1 year of experience in the Aerospace industry is preferred.
  • Standards Knowledge: Knowledge of AS-9100, IATF-16949, APQP, and PPAP is preferred.
