Schedule: Monday thru Friday

Salary: $20-21/hr

SUMMARY:

The Accounts Payable Representative performs the day to day processing of Accounts Payable for remittance to vendors. This is an individual contributor position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Accounts Payable Representative possesses exceptional knowledge of the accounts payable process. The AP Representative also achieves the highest level of customer service when dealing with vendors and performs all duties related to processing incoming. In addition, the AP Representative represents us in a professional, knowledgeable and courteous manner at all times and supports the Accounts Payable Team Lead, Supervisor & Director, Cash Management. Essential duties include:

Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports, recording entries.
Provides superior customer service both internally & externally.
Corresponds with various departments to resolve invoice issues.
Codes and enters Stock Invoices.
Reviews statements and resolves any outstanding issues.
Opens and separates invoices in accordance with established procedure.
Codes, enters and verifies drop shipments.
Prepares and stuffs outbound checks for mailing.
Places postage on outbound mail.
Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
Maintains historical records by retaining and filing documents.
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Performing other duties as assigned or required.
