General Summary:
Under general supervision, performs moderately complex confidential secretarial duties for a section chief and/or administrator. Is skilled in the operation of Microsoft Office software, document production, and with complex software applications specific to the department.May take and transcribe dictation involving correspondence, reports, policies, procedures, and other matters related to section operations. Screens inquiries, telephone calls, e-mail, correspondence, and makes referrals to assist supervisor as needed in administrative matters.
Composes e-mail, memoranda, and letters from rough drafts or general instructions. Arranges interviews, appointments, and other meetings for supervisors. Maintains files on budget requests, administrative matters, correspondence, reports, records, statistics, and related organizational materials.
Utilizes current county-wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
At the time of application, applicants must:
- Must be a high school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) Test.
- Have had three (3) years of responsible full-time clerical experience.
NOTE: Course work at an accredited college, university, or business school in a related area may be substituted for up to two (2) years of the required work experience on a year-for-year basis.
Pay Range: USD $45,511.00 - USD $60,976.00 /Yr.
