Sr. Accounting Analyst

We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Sr. Accounting Analyst to join our client's team located in Memphis, Tennessee. This position plays a critical role in the finance team, with a focus on ensuring the precision and reliability of financial reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct rigorous accounting tasks and analytical obligations to support financial statements and generate reports for leadership.
- Manage all facets of inventory accounting and standard costing, including warehouse product and manufacturing analysis.
- Ensure accurate financial statements by reviewing inventory costing.
- Carry out account reconciliations.
- Generate ad-hoc reporting and account analysis as required by management and undertake additional duties as assigned.
- Guarantee the accurate and timely processing and recording of accounting transactions.
- Participate in the period-end close process, which includes preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and reviewing financial statements.
- Assist in the monthly forecasts and the annual budgeting process.
- Ensure that all capital projects are accurately reflected in financial statements.
- Conduct in-depth P& L analysis and reviews for leadership, including gross profit and expense variances.
- Act as a backup for Controller as and when necessary.
- Participate in special projects as needed.
- Provide outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably as an Accounting Analyst
- Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
- Strong experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Month End Close procedures
- Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred but not required.
