Accounting Clerk

We are looking to bring on board a meticulous Accounting Clerk to be based in Santa Fe Springs, California. The role entails managing our accounts payable and receivable, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely billing. This is a long-term contract position that will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately post checks, credit card, and ACH payments to maintain up-to-date records.
• Send out weekly and monthly bills to ensure timely payment from customers.
• Regularly interact with the Junior Accountant to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct level one reminder calls to customers for past due payments to facilitate prompt settlement.
• Utilize QuickBooks and MS Excel to process customer applications and maintain records.
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action to address any issues.
• Work closely with customers to resolve inquiries and issues.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency in processing customer credit applications.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure all accounting tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Experience in using QuickBooks software for accounting tasks a plus
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements
• Ethical conduct and integrity in handling financial information
• Familiarity with relevant accounting software and applications
• Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills.
