Supervisor, Cell Engineering

You will manage workload with a positive attitude as a hands-on team player in a collaborative work environment.

They must be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and department leaders to address concerns and issues that affect process quality, production efficiency, work cell ergonomics, equipment maintenance, etc. The successful candidate will also have exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and management skills, demonstrating the ability to be an innovator and change agent.

• Provide effective supervision, training and coaching to team members to achieve the required manufacturing throughput and quality, equipment repairs, and production goals. Maintain department records and inventories
• Ensure that standard operating procedures and engineering procedures are current, accurate and that all work is done in compliance to ensure maximum quality
• Monitor to ensure that employees comply with safety regulations and the lab's safety program
• Work with employees to resolve process and machine problems. Schedule preventive maintenance to effectively meet production needs
• Provide a quality communication link to keep all team members working toward the same goals. Communicate to employees all issues that affect cell prototype activities
• Oversee lab operation and quality control of manufacturing processes, effectively coordinating with the Engineering team and/or vendor support
• Four years or more of industrial operation and R&D lab supervisory or similar leadership experience preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in a dry room and cell manufacturing environment
• Familiarity of cell manufacturing processes, metrology and their quality control
• Strong preventive equipment maintenance experience
• Ability to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality / quantity
• Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish and achieve goals.
• Experience supporting process development
• Knowledge of 5S, lean manufacturing or 6-Sigma principles
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with handling hazardous chemicals and waste
