We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for up to 24 hours/week (census dependent) to work with our PHP team in Westborough.

Responsibilities Include::
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner functions as the attending and will be responsible for care and treatment for the patients in our PHP psychiatric programs in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care.The responsibilities include: the psychiatric evaluation, suicide risk assessments, medication management, progress notes, collaboration with outpatient providers, meeting with the family and discharge planning.
Qualifications::
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited program.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years' prior relevant experience required
- Experience in inpatient level of care, preferred
Licensure/Certification:
- Licensed in the state of Massachusetts in Advanced Nursing
- Current CPR Certification
Knowledge:
- Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, behavior and crisis management
Required competencies:
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize independently
- Ability to multi-task in a changing and fast paced mental health environment
- Ability to work in a highly collaborate, team environment
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Supervision Received:
- Reports to Medical Director
Environmental Conditions:
- General hospital environment.
