Nurse LPN - Home Health
Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs patient care duties. The LPN provides care based on the Nurse Practice Act and his/her assessed competency utilizing hospital established standards of care and practice. Assignments are performed appropriately to age and developmental level of patients being served.
Qualifications:Age of Patients Served:
All Age Groups.
Required Education:
Vocational Training. Graduation from an approved Licensed Practical Nurse program. 30-hour IV Therapy Course for LPNs, which has been approved by the Florida Board of Nursing pursuant to Rule 64B9-5.006.
Necessary Skills:
- Adheres to hospital policies and Florida Nurse Practice Act guidelines in providing patient care.
- Demonstrates effective problem solving and communication skills with patients, families and other healthcare professionals.
Required Licensure/Certifications:
Licensed to practice practical nursing in the state of FloridaCurrent BLS from the American Heart Association.
Required Experience:
Less than one (1) year - Training as an LPN.
Preferred Experience:
One (1) year as a LPN with current BLS certification.
