A manufacturer in the Philadelphia area is looking for a Quality Manager. Candidates must have 5 years of Quality or relevant experience in a manufacturing setting. Aerospace/ Military experience preferred. A BS degree is preferred. This is a hands on position. Must have the ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers and computers.

responsibilities: Performing internal quality audits
Preparing external quality audits for customers and certifying agencies.
Hosting and leading quality audits during on-site visits
Implementing and maintaining methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipment
Ensuring that products adhere to ISO9001 and AS9100 quality standards
Ensuring that products adhere to ATEX, IECEX and other worldwide hazardous area use standards for intrinsic safety and explosion proof (flame proof) applications.
Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
Working according to deadlines for the delivery of products
Training and managing direct staff in production practices and quality assessment of goods
Tracking and auditing products through the manufacturing process to guarantee that each part of the process is correct and that products get inspected correctly and efficiently
Performing detailed and recorded inspections of final products so the products are up to industry and company standards
Eliminating products that are not up to standards and working with other departments to document and implement corrective actions
