Overview:
The Full-time Site Supervisor is responsible for developing and implementing quality programming and scheduling for his/her assigned before and after school site. This Supervisor is responsible for the site environment, creating lesson plans in accordance with the assigned curriculum, communicating with parents, students, school administration when necessary, as well as supervising and directing staff and students.During the months of June-August, the Site Supervisor will assist their assigned Camp Coordinator with camp programming. She/he must also demonstrate a commitment to our YMCA philosophy and core values – caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and inclusion.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe environment for before and/or afterschool preschool location in Matawan district
- Supervise students and staff at assigned site
- Implement daily schedule and curriculum
- Build positive rapport with students, families, and school partner
- Assure that all activities are in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the YMCA, as well as teaching the YMCA core values.
Qualifications:
The incumbent must have a BA, BS, or Associates Degree in Education, Communications, Recreation, or a related field. Incumbent must have at least 3 years experience in supervision of staff and working with preschool/school-aged children. The incumbent must be mature, responsible and have experience in scheduling daily age-appropriate activities and special events.The Site Supervisor must also have CPR/First Aid/Epi-pen certification or acquire within 30 days of hire.
