Overview:
The SCM Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales and building strong relationships with customers in the construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. This role involves managing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring the timely delivery of SCM products while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand market share.
- Manage and grow relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and customer needs.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the company.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Provide exceptional service to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct site visits to understand customer operations and recommend suitable SCM products.
- Develop tailored solutions to meet specific customer requirements.
Product Knowledge and Promotion:
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the company’s SCM products, including their technical specifications and applications.
- Educate customers on product benefits, performance, and proper usage.
- Collaborate with technical teams to provide demonstrations or troubleshoot product issues.
Logistics and Coordination:
- Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with customers regarding order schedules.
Reporting and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market data.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports to management.
- Adhere to company policies and industry regulations regarding product safety and transport.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in construction materials or bulk goods.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish (a plus).
- Knowledge of the cement industry or construction materials market.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Analytical skills to interpret market trends and customer data.
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Familiarity with local markets and customer base.
Work Environment:
- Field-based role requiring travel to customer sites, construction zones, and company facilities.
- May involve occasional physical activity such as site inspections and material demonstrations.
