Associate Attorney

As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for managing all phases of the litigation lifecycle, from pre-litigation through settlement or trial. You will join a supportive team of attorneys and support staff, focusing on delivering high-quality legal services to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review intake documents to develop case strategies and next steps.
• Draft various legal documents, including motions, pleadings, briefs, and memos.
• Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
• Manage discovery processes, including the preparation and review of discovery materials.
• Prepare for trials and depositions, including organizing exhibits and witness lists.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates and gather necessary information.
• Handle additional projects and tasks as assigned by senior attorneys.

Qualifications:

• Active license to practice law in California.
• 1+ years of California-based, post-bar civil litigation experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Oakland, CA is highly preferred, but remote hybrid schedules will be considered for the right candidate.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor.
• Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
