Tax Preparer - West Allis

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in the Tax Consulting industry, located in West Allis, Wisconsin. You will be working in a dynamic environment where you will be preparing Corporate and Individual Tax Returns and responding to IRS letters.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Corporate Tax Returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Preparation of Individual Tax Returns, with a focus on detail and adherence to tax codes.
• Communication with the IRS, drafting and sending responses to IRS letters as required.
• Utilization of Drake Software - Tax Solution for efficient tax preparation and filing.
• Regular monitoring and updating of tax-related data to maintain current and accurate records. • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tax Preparer or in a related role within the Tax Consulting industry
• Proficient in using Drake Software - Tax Solution
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with tax regulations and procedures
• Experience in Corporate Tax preparation and management
• Experience in Individual Tax preparation and management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) is a plus
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
