Accounting Manager

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in San Francisco, California. The role involves managing inventory, cost management, and using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to streamline our accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the tracking, costing, and valuation of inventory to guarantee accurate financial documentation.
• Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to establish appropriate stock levels that align with business needs.
• Analyze costs associated with inventory and production, identifying potential opportunities for cost savings.
• Utilize ERP software, such as Oracle Fusion to manage inventory records and reconcile discrepancies with the general ledger.
• Prepare financial statements, reconcile inventory-related accounts, and organize records for audits or tax filings.
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations like GAAP or IFRS.
• Provide insights into inventory trends and incorporate relevant data into budgeting and cash flow forecasting processes.
• Work with technical teams to align inventory costs with technology product cycles or timelines for new releases.
• Partner across departments such as R& D, product teams, and sales to align inventory accounting functions with the organization's broader objectives.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting management role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems such as Oracle Fusion
• Familiarity with FloQast
• Ability to manage various accounting functions
• Proficiency in auditing procedures
• Experience in Inventory and Cost Accounting
• High Tech or SaaS related industry
• Google Sheets
