Material Handler / Forklift Operator
Job Description
Title: Material Handler/Forklift OperatorType of Placement: TEMP TO PERM
Shift: 1st Shift 9:00am 6:00pm Monday Friday
Pay/Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00hrly
About Our Customer:Well established company delivers energy-efficient, eco-friendly insulation solutions to residences and businesses throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Southern Maine.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Transport materials, supplies and finished products to designated locations throughout the facility as well as being responsible for receiving products, visually inspecting for any damage as well as verifying quantity and expiration dates of products.
Material Handlers are also responsible for pulling all products needed for production lines.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent required
(Minimum of 3 months of warehouse experience)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to work independently
Must have strong communication skillsBasic math skills preferred
Must be forklift certified or have experience operating a variety of lifts.
Must have computer skills
Flexibility to work extra hours during busy peak season
Environmental Conditions:The work environment is fast paced and fast moving. Much of the time would be spent sitting down in a warehouse environment.
Physical Capabilities:Frequently required to perform actions stooping, bending, balancing, grasping, standing, sitting, walking, opening, removing, sorting, moving, and handling of objects up to 45lbs.
