We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Senior Accountant in Santa Clara, California. The role involves performing various accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a range of duties including preparing inventory and cash reconciliations, supporting sales and use tax accounting, and handling backlog of balance sheet reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular cash and inventory reconciliations.
• Assist with sales and use tax accounting.
• Manage a backlog of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries in the general ledger.
• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Assist with month-end close procedures.
• Conduct annual physical inventory counts.
• Perform account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Should possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is essential
• Demonstrated experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries
• Capable of performing Month End Close procedures accurately and timely
• Familiarity with Annual Physical Inventory responsibilities
• Experience with Sales & Use Tax calculations and regulations
