We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead our Quality efforts at our Oxford Graphics location in Peabody, MA. The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading the facility with quality assurance, quality control and Food Safety programs.

This individual will lead the implementation and promotion of a Quality Assurance culture through policies, procedures and programs that are consistent with established Legislation, compliance standards, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees plant Quality Management System.
  • Promotes quality awareness throughout the organization.
  • Assures product quality and performance meets customers’ satisfaction.
  • Develops, implements and maintains quality programs including but not limited to ISO 9001, UL certification, Prop 65, PFAS, Product Safety and Hygiene.
  • Leads all required Quality Management Systems meetings, including RMA’s, CAR’s, SCAR’s, Risk, ensuring accurate minutes are captured.
  • Act as Lead Facilitator for all customer and third party audits related to quality, FAIRs and CofAs
  • Act as Lead Auditor and coordinate required quality audits in compliance with ISO 9001.
  • Manage all maintenance and calibration programs for all devices critical to quality.
  • Works with Operations, Purchasing and other department leaders to establish, review, and manage quality policies and procedures.
  • Captures and monitors quality KPI’s. Collaborates with Operations Leaders and General Manager on quality continuous improvement initiatives. Leads and implements QCI’s in coordination with business needs. Evaluates the effectiveness of corrective actions, preventive actions and continual improvement plans.
  • Suggests and debates alternative methods and procedures for solving problems and meeting changing market opportunities.
  • Supports Purchasing department, with issues related to fitness for use, quality, certifications, SCAR’s, and supplier report cards as required, relative to quality
  • Works in conjunction with Corporate Quality Team and participates in corporate quality meeting and initiatives as required.
  • Reviews technical publications, articles and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in industry.
  • Follows all Company policies and procedures.
  • Complies with and performs duties relevant to Quality, Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practice & Environmental Guidelines.
  • Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring you are always wearing the protective equipment required and working safely.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and three plus years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Candidate must have successfully completed an Internal Auditing course, or have at least 3 years of experience in conducting internal auditing (preferably in an ISO & GMP environment).
  • Must have experience developing, implementing and maintaining quality management and food safety quality systems, i.e. ISO, AIB.
  • Must possess the ability to read, write and comprehend simple in-depth instructions, correspondences, and memos; to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to effectively draft and edit new and existing quality policies and procedures, and be able to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Able to use measuring devices like verniers and calipers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, Quality Management systems, SharePoint, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, Adobe.
