Tax Preparer

We are in search of a Tax Preparer for our client based in Canton, Ohio, United States. The selected candidate will be responsible for individual and business tax return preparation, bookkeeping duties, and data entry. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity within the tax and accounting industry.

Responsibilities:

• Perform tax preparation tasks for both individual and business clients
• Utilize UltraTax software to carry out tax-related duties
• Conduct full cycle payroll activities as part of bookkeeping responsibilities
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in line with established accounting practices
• Ensure accurate data entry across all relevant platforms and systems
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing and resolving customer inquiries
• Maintain and update customer credit records as necessary
• Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency
• Carry out account reconciliation tasks on a regular basis
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Applicant must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant position.
• Proficiency in various accounting functions is essential.
• Exceptional customer service skills are required.
• Must be adept at data entry tasks.
• Experience with tax preparation is necessary.
• Familiarity with Ultra Tax software is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
• Experience with full cycle payroll is desired.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures is required.
• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures is required.
• Ability to perform account reconciliation effectively is a key requirement.
