We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a meticulous Credit Analyst in Auburn, California. The role is situated in the finance industry and requires the successful candidate to manage various duties such as overseeing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and dealing with customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.
  • Conduct detailed credit investigations and evaluations to determine the creditworthiness of potential customers.
  • Maintain and update credit files for existing accounts, including periodic reviews.
  • Handle requests for credit line increases from existing customers, by reviewing payment history, credit files, and obtaining additional credit information.
  • Set up new accounts in the system and update for changes such as name, terms, bank changes, and additional branches and locations.
  • Stay up-to-date with federal regulations and company policies to ensure compliance.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, resolving issues and answering inquiries related to credit accounts.
  • Perform clerical duties such as data entry, typing, filing, photocopying, and faxing.
  • Prepare monthly reports on the number of new accounts processed, approved, denied, and pending.
  • Collaborate with other team members, collectors, and salespeople to ensure smooth operation of credit-related tasks. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience in sales
  • Ability to perform ad hoc financial tasks
  • Strong typing skills and experience with clerical duties
  • Knowledge of credit principles and processes
  • Familiarity with filing and record-keeping systems
  • Understanding of property-related matters
  • Ability to answer and resolve issues effectively
  • Knowledge of company policies and regulations
  • Experience in distributing faxes and managing monthly reporting
  • Proficient in word processing
  • Experience in creating flyers and promotional material
  • Ability to manage new accounts
  • Experience operating photocopy machines
  • Ability to interact effectively with external customers
  • Prior experience as a collector is preferred
  • Familiarity with monthly reconciliation procedures
  • Knowledge of federal regulations pertaining to credit
  • Ability to analyze and interpret credit reports.
