Quality Scientist
Company is seeking a highly Quality Scientist for our Branchburg location. You will join the QC Analytical/Metals group for the analysis lithography chemicals and other formulations used in the semiconductor fabrication industry, in Branchburg, NJ.
This is a hands-on role with 80% of time spent in the lab.
Work Schedule: Typically from 7am to 3:30pm

responsibilities:
- Performs routine and non-routine sample analysis
- Conducts hands-on laboratory work
- Method development
- Operate and maintain analytical equipment
- Provides analytical and troubleshooting support for product quality issues
- Support Gage R&R studies
- Transfer methods between instruments
- Works closely with quality, production, R&D and commercial teams to ensure rapid delivery of products to customers
- Work with auto titrators, HPLC, GPC and GC, ICP-MS, ICP-OES and GFAA
- Adhere to and support the ISO 9001 Quality Assurance program at the site
- Lifting of up to 50 lbs. without assistance
- Work with organic solvents and chemicals
Required Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Physics, or related Scientific discipline
- 0-4 years of science or technology related industrial experience in a QC environment
- Ability to function independently and efficiently under the guidance of management and have good communications skills.
- Ability to recognize existing problems, foresee potential problems, and implement measures to eliminate or reduce the probability of occurrence and/or minimize their impact
- Proactive candidate who can work in a group environment
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills that support a diverse team environment
- Demonstrated creativity and strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ Hands on experience with Perkin Elmer and/or Agilent ICP-MS systems
- ICP-MS direct organic analysis experience
- Experience with GFAA and OES-ICP
- Experience in clean room environment
- Experience with data entry into a laboratory data management system
- QC experience
- Experience with other chromatographic (GC, HPLC, GPC) and spectroscopic instruments
- Method development experience
- A strong technical understanding of fundamental analytical chemistry
- Strong fundamentals and practical experience in the use of statistics (Measurement System Analysis, etc.)
- Experience with statistical tools such as Excel, Minitab, JMP
- Experience with SAP
