The BSA Analyst is responsible for support for preventing, identifying, assessing, and managing money laundering and other financial crime risks in an organization.
You will assist in bank compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and related regulations. You will work with various departments to ensure the company operates as safely and securely as possible and analyze key risk indicators for management. You will be responsible for clearing and escalating alerts and writing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).

Responsibilities/Duties:
Hatch Bank is seeking a qualified BSA Analyst to join our growing Enterprise Risk and Compliance team. Experience in BSA/AML with a developed skillset of managing an alert and case workload around a growing BSA/AML framework. Specific experience with Banking as a Service (BAAS) and third-party risk management is strongly preferred. We are looking for a creative problem-solver, team-oriented person who thrives in a fast-paced environment to assist our BSA Officer in oversight of the BSA Program with the following responsibilities:
- Identify suspicious activity through automated and manual processes
- Risk rating analysis of customers, products, and services
- Manage alert and case workflow related to questionable activity
- Draft SARs for filing with FinCEN
- Maintain BSA-related processes and procedures
- Ensure compliance with the BSA and related regulations and regulatory guidance related to BSA/AML risk management
- Inform management on the status of regulatory issues related to the BSA/AML program
- Perform testing on the bank’s KYC/CDD program including CIP verification
- Review third party BSA/AML vendor programs
- Assist with regulatory examination response items
- Review data to identify potential risk factors or compliance violations.
- Track action plans and remediation items designed for non-conformance
- Review/analyze data to identify potential risk factors for BSA violations.
- Assist the BSA Officer with compliance monitoring reviews and other special projects to measure and understand the state of regulatory compliance for the organization
- Ensure accuracy and timely completion of required information for regular reports
- Logs audit reports and updates the status of the action plans in monitoring sites
- Implements Risk and Compliance initiatives
- Conduct research on developing regulations or enforcement actions
- Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Essential Functions:
While performing the essential functions of this position, the incumbent is subject to sedentary work for extended periods of time. Some mobility in order to access files and attend meetings is necessary. The incumbent must be able to operate a computer terminal and office equipment and communicate and exchange information to internal and external customers.
Knowledge - Skills & Abilities:
- BS or BA Preferred in Business Administration
- 2-5 years of Business Management Experience
- 2 years of BSA experience
- Experience with FinTech entities a plus.
- Experience with marketplace lending/lending as a service a plus
- Compliance certifications (CAMS, CRMC, etc.) a plus.
- Must demonstrate excellent critical thinking, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Computer experience is essential with a functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong time management and analytical skills
- Open-source research skills (Google, etc.)
Pay Range: $65,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year. Pay range may vary based on skills, experience, and location
