Position Summary:
We are seeking a full-time and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team in supporting an oculoplastics ophthalmologist surgeon in the Ohio Area. This is a full-time position where the PA will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting in both surgical and clinical settings, and enhancing the overall patient experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in minor medical and surgical procedures within the office setting.
- Work collaboratively with the surgeon to provide comprehensive patient care as well as automatously in an office-based setting.
- Assist in outpatient procedures, pre-operative, and post-operative care.
- Perform patient evaluations, history taking, and physical exams.
- Develop a cosmetic/aesthetic patient practice.
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on procedures, treatments, and recovery plans.
- Manage patient follow-up visits and monitor recovery progress.
- Document patient interactions in electronic health records (EHR) efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with other medical staff and administrative teams to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Stay updated on best practices in Oculoplastics and related areas.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Ohio
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a surgical or ophthalmology setting is preferred, though new graduates with relevant clinical rotations will be considered.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering excellent patient care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative medical team.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and strong documentation skills.
