Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our Medical-Surgical team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care, supporting pre-and post-surgical patients, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any abnormalities to the care team.
• Administer medications safely and accurately per physician orders.
• Maintain and update patient records in compliance with hospital protocols.
• Provide direct bedside care, assisting patients with daily needs and mobility.
• Support patient education, discharge planning, and ongoing care coordination.
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Complete admission and discharge paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Operate and maintain medical equipment, including IV lines, feeding tubes, oxygen therapy, and catheters.
• Perform and/or order tests and assessments as directed by the healthcare team.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an LPN/LVN in a Medical-Surgical unit.
• Active LPN/LVN License in the state of New York.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• COVID-19 Vaccination Card (as required by the facility)
