Compensation*: Competitive starting hourly rate up to $120/hour commensurate with skills and experience,
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Classification: Full Time, Non-Exempt, Contract

Office Location: Portland Metro Area, Oregon, USA

In this seven-to-eight-month role, the Senior Project Manager – Contractor will be responsible for the management of a small but critical portfolio of enterprise and/or IT projects. You will develop a project plan, form a team, assign tasks, develop a project schedule, manage the budget, resolve issues, track KPIs and develop and communicate status reports.
You will interact and engage with stakeholders across the project spectrum and be responsible for driving the project to success. Change management and is a strong component of ensuring project success at Energy Trust and you will partner with your project teams to create and manage change management plans as well.

In addition to managing projects, Energy Trust’s PMO office acts as an educational and support resource for the entire organization. In your role, you may be occasionally assigned to mentor junior staff members or to co-create project management trainings with PMO colleagues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define and document project scope.
  • Design project plans for project implementation.
  • Create and manage change management
  • Manage project teams comprised of staff and/or contractors to execute project implementation plan.
  • Perform liaison role between project owner and internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Produces weekly project status report
  • Occasionally participate in providing project management and change management mentorship and training
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Perform all functions of the job in a safe manner.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
  • No supervisory duties.
Requirements
  • Experience with Finance-related and/or Budget projects highly desired.
  • Five years’ experience in all aspects of managing multiple concurrent complex enterprise projects required.
  • Group facilitation and team building – successful approaches and processes to facilitate, build, and manage high-performing project teams required.
  • Good organization time management skills, problem-solving skills and issue resolution required.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise reports and recommendations and make presentations required.
  • Project management skills to create and report on project forecasts required.
  • Ability to develop and lead organization change management efforts related to project implementation preferred.
  • Five years’ experience managing software development projects helpful.
  • Systems implementation strategy – knowledge and experience in successful systems implementations strategies helpful.
  • Two years’ experience using Agile project management methodology helpful.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Prosci Change Management Certification helpful.
