Overview:
Are you a creative writer and content creator passionate about impact, sustainability, and innovative businesses? Join us at EX Venture, where you’ll work on writing and publishing high-quality articles, social media content, and SEO-optimized posts about our portfolio companies, primarily focusing on Zero-X, a leader in rural electrification, waste management, and carbon capture.
We’re looking for someone who can combine creativity with strategic thinking to help tell the story of the amazing work we’re doing. If you’re from a forward-thinking community like UC Berkeley in California, looking for an adventure in Bali, and passionate about health, community, and building impactful companies, this could be the perfect role for you.
In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to scriptwrite for our video production studio, creating content that captures the essence of our projects and the dynamic, entrepreneurial spirit that drives them.
Your Responsibilities:
- Writing & Publishing Articles:
- Research and write high-quality articles on topics including impact, rural electrification, waste-to-energy, and carbon capture for Zero-X and other portfolio companies.
- Publish content across our platforms, ensuring that each piece is insightful, engaging, and contributes to our broader impact storytelling.
- Social Media Content Creation:
- Develop engaging, SEO-optimized social media content to showcase our projects, team, and global impact on platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Help grow our online presence by creating content that resonates with entrepreneurs, investors, and sustainability advocates.
- SEO Optimization & Strategy:
- Research relevant keywords and market trends to optimize content for SEO and improve organic reach.
- Ensure all published articles and social media posts are strategically optimized for search engines, balancing quality with performance.
- Script Writing for Video Production:
- Collaborate with our in-house production team to write scripts for videos showcasing our impact projects, highlighting Zero-X’s work in waste management, carbon capture, and other cleantech initiatives.
- Be part of the creative team that brings the mission of EX Venture and its portfolio companies to life through video storytelling.
Who You Are:
- Educational Background: Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Creative Writing, or a related field (students or recent grads from UC Berkeley or similar are a great fit!).
- Creative & Analytical: You’re a talented writer with a creative flair, but also know how to write content that performs well online.
- Passionate About Impact: You care about sustainability, innovation, and making a difference in the world through your work.
- Content Creator at Heart: Experience creating articles, social media posts, and other forms of written content. A keen interest in scriptwriting for video is a bonus!
- SEO Savvy: Familiar with SEO strategies and how to optimize content for search engines without sacrificing quality.
