Chicago - Senior Software Developer

Overview:

Decision Point Corporation is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our team supporting the Transportation Geospatial Information System (TGIS) at Scott AFB, IL.

This will be a hybrid position with a minimum two days a week on location at Scott AFB.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Participate in software design and code reviews to ensure delivery of quality products and enhance skillsets.
  • Engage in application design process as a technical contributor.
  • Troubleshoot advanced production issues in collaboration with DevOps.
  • Stay up to date on advanced programming techniques and software technologies.
  • Contribute to investments and research that fuel innovation and technological advancements.
  • Document and communicate proposed software solutions with integrated, cross-functional Development team in a fast paced highly technical environment.

Qualifications:

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree with a minmum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in system integration is a plus.
  • Ability to convey technical ideas in a clear, logical fashion.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a development team.
  • Experience with the Agile software development process in accordance with USG defined requirements.
  • Experience developing applications in Java or .NET
  • Experience developing in a Cloud environment.
  • Experience working with hybrid/remote development teams.
  • Ability to translate highly technical discussions into executable plans.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in system integration is a plus.
  • Security + certification required.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working on a GIS application.
  • Experience with Oracle.
  • Experience with AWS EC2.
  • Familiarity with basic server administration tasks.
  • Familarity working with IA (Information Assurance) and QA.
