Registered Nurse

These functions are considered critical to effective department operations and Acacia's mission. Satisfactory attendance and performance of functions in a competent, cooperative, and timely manner is required. Pays: $90,000 per year

• Conduct initial health screenings for IMT consumers
• Provide referrals as needed to primary and/or specialty medical care
• Conduct blood draws and administer psychotropic medication treatment, including administration of IV medications
• Prepare medication to be dispensed, and work closely with the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to dispense medication and monitor clients' physical and mental wellbeing
• Conduct care coordination between other IMT staff members, pharmacy, health homes, and other outside providers
• Record patient data in Promesa's NextGen Electronic Health Record system
• Participate in grant related workshops and trainings
• Must be able to deliver in-person services after standard hours of operation as needed
• Perform clinical, compliance, and administrative duties as instructed
• Enhance patient's health and self- management skills as developing wellness goals in the use of evidence-based practices and maintain record of these activities
• Participate in daily IMT staff and organizational meetings
• Practice according to the principles of recovery oriented and trauma informed service delivery

• Must hold a NYS-issued RN license
• Previous relevant experience in a mental or substance use disorders required, experience with individuals experiencing homelessness a plus
• Ability to deal with sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretion and be able to multi-task with strong organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate both verbally and in written form
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor under pressure and operate with a keen sense of urgency and commitment to quality
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
