Role Location: Hybrid (Los Angeles area)

Research Coordinator – Video Games Research Operations

We’re looking for a Research Coordinator to join our growing team, based in Los Angeles (though this position can work remotely most of the time). We are the leading consumer market research and consulting firm in the video game field, and we regularly conduct focus groups, interviews, and playtests to collect data and insights for our clients.
This position will manage participant recruitment for some of our ongoing projects – identifying qualified candidates from within our Good Gamer Group panel, conducting phone or video rescreening with them, coordinating logistics with the project team and participants, and generally ensuring that we have the right research participants in the right place, at the right time!

Most tasks can be handled remotely; however, we’re also looking for someone who would be willing to do on-site check-ins and some light IT work at our office or partner locations around the Los Angeles area.

The ideal candidate for this role has good phone etiquette, personal organization, and tech savviness, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. A background in research isn’t necessary, but you should be ready to self-motivate to complete your tasks on strict deadlines.
General knowledge of gaming and the biggest game franchises is strongly preferred. Most of our projects are focused on specific video game titles, franchises, or video game genres - industry knowledge and gaming passion are highly desirable qualities in a candidate.

We will provide all required training for the right candidate.

  • Coordinate with and confirm dates and times of participation with recruits, sending emails and making reminder calls as needed to ensure strong attendance
  • For hybrid employees, occasionally travel to do check-ins and light IT work at our Interpret playtesting labs or our clients’ facilities
Key Skills Needed
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Strong phone and customer service skills - engaging with a diverse audience who share a common interest in video games
  • Team player, ready to work with a dedicated and fast-moving remote team
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision (takes initiative and looks for process efficiencies whenever possible)

None required – we are open to all situations and life stages; however, the ideal candidate may be someone who has recently / will soon graduate from college
