Responsibilities:

This position coordinates the nursing activities between multiple service areas of a department. Provides care and/or service to neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
  1. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and licensed in the state of Georgia.
  2. Demonstrated proficiency in skills applicable to designated area within probationary period.
  3. Four (4) years of experience in nursing, with minimum of two (2) years in area of specialty.
  4. Demonstrated ability to set priorities, coordinates diversified and multiple activities, and make appropriate clinical and managerial decisions. Must possess advanced problem solving skills.
  5. Successful completion of a management course prior to appointment, or within six (6) months of employment.
  6. Certified in cardio‑pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: MOTHERSFIRST
  1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  2. International certification in childbirth education or International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBCLC). If not certified in childbirth education, obtain International Certification in Childbirth Education within 6 months.
  3. B.S.N. degree
  4. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  5. Five years’ experience as an RN, including at least two years’ experience in adult/community education.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: DIABETES & NUTRITION EDUCATION
  1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  2. Certified Diabetes Educator
  3. B.S.N. degree
  4. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  5. Five years’ experience as an RN, including at least two years’ experience in adult/community Education
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: IV THERAPY
  1. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and licensed in the state of Georgia.
  2. Demonstrated proficiency in skills applicable to designated area within probationary period.
  3. Four (4) years of experience in nursing, with minimum of two (3) years in area of specialty.
  4. National Certification in specialty Infusion Nursing (INS) or Vascular Access (AVA)
  5. Demonstrated ability to set priorities, coordinates diversified and multiple activities, and make appropriate clinical and managerial decisions. Must possess advanced problem solving skills.
  6. Successful completion of a management course prior to appointment, or within six (6) months of employment.
  7. Certified in cardio‑pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED: MOTHERSFIRST AND CENTER FOR PERINATAL MEDICINE
  1. Previous perinatal education management experience.
  2. M.S.N. or M.N. degree
  3. Experience with marketing/community relations
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED: DIABETES & NUTRITION EDUCATION
  1. Previous diabetes coordinator/management experience.
  2. M.S.N. or M.N. degree
  3. Experience with marketing/community relations
MEDICAL/SURGICAL UNITS
  1. B.S.N. Degree
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED: IV Therapy
  1. B.S.N. Degree
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: RADIOLOGY
  1. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and licensed in the state of Georgia.
  2. Minimum of 2 years prior leadership experience in Radiology
  3. Good written and oral communication skills.
  4. Five (5) years experience in Radiology.
  5. Two (2) years experience in a supervisory capacity.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: SURGERY SCHEDULING
  1. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and licensed in the state of Georgia.
  2. Demonstrated proficiency in skills applicable to designated area within probationary period.
  3. Four (4) years of experience in nursing, with minimum of two (2) years in area of specialty.
  4. Demonstrated ability to set priorities, coordinates diversified and multiple activities, and make appropriate clinical and managerial decisions. Must possess advanced problem solving skills.
  5. Successful completion of a management course prior to appointment, or within six (6) months of employment.
  6. CPR certification not required.
