Part-Time Health & Safety Office Clerk
What we are looking for:
SCS Engineers is seeking a Part-Time detail-oriented Health & Safety Office Clerk to support our OM&M Health & Safety program with various administrative tasks. This role will require close coordination with the Health & Safety Project Administrator, Office Assistants, Project Administrators, and Project Managers to ensure timely and efficient task completion.The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, a proactive approach to inventory management, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively to support the needs of the Health & Safety team. This role will be based out of our Long Beach, CA office, and will be Part-Time with 20-30 hours a week.
How you can make an impact:
- Assist with preparing new hire training packets and compile training materials for 16-Hour Confined Space Entry training and 8-Hour Refreshers as required. Manage and distribute certificates and wallet-sized cards for Forklift, Heavy Equipment, and CSE training upon request.
- Carry out administrative tasks related to SAFE Observations by receiving, printing, and logging Observations, coordinating corrective actions with Project Managers, and tracking Participation Logs. Ensure timely memo distribution to staff, reminding them of submission requirements for Observations and Truck Inspections.
- Maintain and track inventory of uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) using Microsoft Teams, coordinate replenishment orders, process standard new hire orders, and fulfill staff requests. Work closely with Project Administrators to ensure that all PPE and uniforms are processed and in hand.
- Receive large vendor orders (e.g., pallets or boxes of office supplies, uniforms, and PPE) and manage the inventory by updating storage cabinets or organizing overflow storage as necessary.
- Manage shipping logistics for various items as required.
- Oversee administrative tasks related to the Drug Testing Program, including quarterly kit distribution and tracking kit receipt by employees.
- Support the Waste Management Safety Portal by handling registration, tracking, and document distribution for our team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in administrative work required.
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing is required.
- Must meet physical requirements for bending, lifting and carrying packages of equipment and uniforms (up to 50 lbs. unassisted).
Pay Range: USD $19.00 - USD $21.00 /Hr.
