We are seeking a Business Development Specialist - HVAC (Denver or Salt Lake City) to support and deliver indoor air quality products to our large volume dealers contractors within the Colorado, Montana, Wyoming and Utah territory.

This is a Home-Based B2B (Business to Business) position that requires someone be located in either Denver, CO or Salt Lake City, UT.

Responsibilities:

Your day will include:

  • Consulting with Aprilaire dealers to position their businesses for success
  • Providing tailored product and system solutions to HVAC dealerships
  • Displaying an exceptional degree of accountability for sales by cold calling and collaborating with customers on their needs
  • Working collaboratively with Aprilaire distribution managers in securing distributor orders with dealers
  • Developing and leading an Annual Operating Plan to support your sales goals and allows you to plan for your month-to-month future
  • Tracking, updating, and reporting metrics on sales progress, activity, and customer accounts
  • Supporting clients and developing long lasting relationships
  • Updating our CRM (Goldmine) and identifying accounts offering the greatest opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Experience with B2B sales and selling a tangible product
  • Ability to develop long lasting relationships with customers and provide passionate customer service
  • Self-motivated and forward thinking
  • Flexible, adaptable, and resilient
  • Minimal supervision required
  • Ability to grow and manage your territory
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years’ experience or more in progressive sales roles
  • Travel within your territory up to 50-60%% (Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and Utah)

Education/License requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50-60% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license.

Additional Travel Information:

  • This position may require up to 50% of travel within the region, including within a few hundred miles.

Reporting & Metrics:

  • Update plans with the previous week's results and opportunities weekly in Goldmine.
  • Maintain and prepare dashboards and weekly and quartelry reports for sold and targeted contractors, with detail for potential, short- and long-term plans and timelines.
  • Plans and high-level agenda are proactively reported weekly, with previous week's results and associated opportunities.
