Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Business Operations Associate - Crypto - this is an onsite position in New York.

the first automated, on-chain economic security system enabling crypto protocols to optimizerisk management and capital efficiencywhile safeguarding user funds. We analyze protocol mechanics and scenario implications using world-class custom EVM simulations to provide actionable insights.

Our platform is trusted by leading protocols, includingAave, GMX, dYdX, Venus, Uniswap, and others, to manage and securebillions of dollarsin assets.

We are actively seeking aBusiness Operations Associateto join our dynamic team and report directly to the VP of Business Operations. This individual will spearhead the development and maintenance of seamless operations processes, ensuring our organization runs like a well-oiled machine.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in finance across corporate and startup environments, and possesses the hunger and discipline to enforce processes that support effective scaling.

Responsibilities:

Revenue Operations and Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Own and maintain revenue operations policies, including top-line revenue metrics, KPIs, and internal databases (e.g., CRM).
  • Lead customer AR invoicing, crypto payment processes, AR aging, collections, and payment processing.
  • Ensure proficiency in managing both traditional finance and crypto/token workflows.
  • Facilitate clear and professional communication with external customers, internal stakeholders, and accounting partners to resolve issues and maintain alignment.

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Manage and maintain the AP database and internal policies.
  • Process AP payments bi-monthly, including traditional and crypto/token (DeFi) payments.
  • Maintain internal credit card policies and partner with Accounting to ensure accurate bookkeeping.

Finance Partner Management:

  • Manage relationships with external finance vendors (e.g., accounting firms, auditors, and other third-party service providers).
  • Oversee deliverables, weekly cadences, and monthly financial closings to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Vendor Procurement & Negotiation:

  • Lead vendor selection, pricing negotiations, and contract structuring to optimize costs and service quality.
  • Ensure alignment of vendor contracts with company objectives and budget constraints.

Reporting:

  • Maintain internal monthly executive-level reports, including

  • financial models, revenue metrics, and budgets.
  • Oversee annual audits, sales tax reporting, and corporate taxes.
  • Support with external communication and reporting to investors.
  • Ensure compliance with the companys internal governance handbook and regulatory requirements.

Logistics and Operations:

  • Plan and facilitate monthly company town halls, including preparing presentations, collecting data, and organizing cross-functional updates from key stakeholders.
  • Optimize and enforce internal employee company policies (e.g., business travel, reimbursements).
  • Spearhead the logistics, budgeting, and execution of all company offsites, summits, marketing events, and travel arrangements.
  • Maintain highly operational and functional offices at the company headquarters to support employees and business needs effectively.
  • Maintain accurate company-wide headcount data and support the onboarding of all new local hires.
Requirements
  1. 4 years in business operations, accounting, or finance, with experience in AP/AR, financial modeling, and budgeting

Strong understanding of DeFi, Web3, and crypto/token transactions, integrating them with traditional finance systems

Proven ability to manage vendor procurement, contract negotiations, and external finance partnerships

Proficiency in Excel (modeling, pivot tables, data visualization), reporting, compliance, and financial accuracy

Must be based in New York and able to work onsite at the Williamsburg office
