Electrical/Electronics Technician - 2nd shift
POSITION SUMMARY:
Ideal candidate will have competency in both Electrical and Electronic systems. Responsible to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical and/or electronics components of production equipment; keep machines in operable condition. Machinery includes packaging machines, tablet presses and other production equipment.Position involves mostly electronic and electrical duties; but may also involve mechanical repairs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Analyze and troubleshoot electrical and/or electronic problems on production equipment; including programming changes to logic controllers.
- Repairs, installs, and inspects electronics or electronic systems as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications.
- Work with Staff Engineer to design and implement changes to enhance production.
- Maintains and makes necessary operating adjustments to electronic and/or control systems; including troubleshooting.
- Ensures local, state, and national electrical codes are followed and proper materials are used throughout electrical systems.
- Ensure machines guards and safety interlocks are operating properly.
- Manages and installs cables and wiring, splicing as needed.
- Creates or adapts parts as needed to make repairs and improve the performance of various electronics.
- Perform preventative maintenance according to schedule.
- Procure materials and parts necessary to make machine repairs.
- Performs safety checks to ensure design plans are feasible in various conditions.
- Reports potentially dangerous electrical equipment to supervisor and takes steps to resolve the issue.
- Instructs employees regarding safe working procedures and requirements when working with electronic equipment and components.
- Develops and maintains records related to electronic and electrical equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area; promote safe working conditions.
- Perform all work in accordance with established Safety, GMP and company procedures.
