Electrical/Electronics Technician - 2nd shift

POSITION SUMMARY:

Ideal candidate will have competency in both Electrical and Electronic systems. Responsible to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical and/or electronics components of production equipment; keep machines in operable condition. Machinery includes packaging machines, tablet presses and other production equipment.

Position involves mostly electronic and electrical duties; but may also involve mechanical repairs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Analyze and troubleshoot electrical and/or electronic problems on production equipment; including programming changes to logic controllers.
  2. Repairs, installs, and inspects electronics or electronic systems as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications.
  3. Work with Staff Engineer to design and implement changes to enhance production.
  4. Maintains and makes necessary operating adjustments to electronic and/or control systems; including troubleshooting.
  5. Ensures local, state, and national electrical codes are followed and proper materials are used throughout electrical systems.
  6. Ensure machines guards and safety interlocks are operating properly.
  7. Manages and installs cables and wiring, splicing as needed.
  8. Creates or adapts parts as needed to make repairs and improve the performance of various electronics.
  9. Perform preventative maintenance according to schedule.
  10. Procure materials and parts necessary to make machine repairs.
  11. Performs safety checks to ensure design plans are feasible in various conditions.
  12. Reports potentially dangerous electrical equipment to supervisor and takes steps to resolve the issue.
  13. Instructs employees regarding safe working procedures and requirements when working with electronic equipment and components.
  14. Develops and maintains records related to electronic and electrical equipment.
  15. Maintain a clean and orderly work area; promote safe working conditions.
  16. Perform all work in accordance with established Safety, GMP and company procedures.
