Hand Therapy Occupational Therapy Assistant – Certified (COTA)

Qualifications:

• Associate degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• NYS C.O.T.A. certification and registration.
• Minimum of two years of experience in hand therapy or upper extremity rehabilitation.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

Duties:

• Assists in treating patients with hand injuries, fractures, and post-surgical conditions.
• Implements strengthening and dexterity exercises for hand and wrist function.
• Educates patients on splinting, adaptive tools, and pain management techniques.
• Monitors progress and makes therapy modifications in collaboration with the OTR.
• Maintains compliance with therapy protocols and documentation requirements.
