Nutrition Service Supervisor
Overview:

Ebenezer is looking for a Nutrition Services Supervisor to join our team! This role is responsible for Supports the Director of Nutrition by leading and directing Nutrition Services team members; along with planning, organizing, purchasing food, enforcing proper food handling, sanitation
practices and promoting a safe working environment.
This nutrition services schedule includes;- 80 hours every two weeks
- Part time, Day/Evening shifts, 6:00am - 2:30pm and/or 3:30 pm - 7:30pm
- Includes every other weekend and holiday

Responsibilities/Job Description:
Understands responsibilities of all positions in the department.- Trains, redirects and assists employees as needed.
- Recommends changes in techniques for a more efficient operation.
- On-call as requested by Director.
- Enforces proper work habits which includes but isn’t limited to: food handling, hand washing, sanitation, lifting techniques, body mechanics and safe use of chemicals.
- Contributes to facilities positive employee relations environment by expressing appreciation of employees, by treating them with dignity and respect, and by answering questions or resolving complaints whenever possible.
- Assures that food, supplies and equipment are checked in upon receipt to assure that specifications are met.
- Assures stock is put away appropriately.
- Follows up on incomplete deliveries and/or damaged products for credit.
- Sets up order guide for food purchasing.
- Assists in meeting needs when there is a lack of food
- Monitors that the 3-compartment sink PPM is recorded.
- Eyewash flushing station.
- Assures weekly cleaning lists are being completed by assigned staff
- Completes an approved audit for food safety & sanitation and dining (monthly.)
- Assists in set-up of work production sheets.
- Works with other departments/committee members in planning of special events.
- Assists with events as needed.
- Ability to answer the phone and write down and verbally communicate the requests.
- Maintains continuing educational requirements for ANFP and Food Manager’s certifications.
- Fills in shifts as needed.
Qualifications:
Required
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Dietetic Technician Certification- Approved Food Sanitation Safety Course. Accept Food Sanitation Safety

of hire date):

- Advanced Health Institute
Preferred
Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree
One to Three Years experience
Supervisor experience & institutional cooking
